Position:
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist to join our antibody discovery and protein engineering team. This individual will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of novel antibody therapeutics, supporting early-stage discovery efforts and contributing to the advancement of candidates into development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in antibody discovery technologies, molecular biology, and protein engineering. This is a lab-focused role requiring deep technical expertise and scientific creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, clone, and express monoclonal, bi- and multi-specific antibodies for characterization, optimization, and functional screening.
Engineer antibodies for enhanced functionality (e.g., Fc engineering, bispecifics, affinity maturation, humanization).
Design and execute high-throughput screening assays (binding, kinetics, epitope binning, cell-based functional assays).
Investigate signal transduction by phosphorylation, gene regulation, cell differentiation and proliferation, and flow cytometry.
Analyze protein structure for functional optimization and apply computational tools to accelerate discovery.
Troubleshoot experiments, analyze complex data, and propose innovative solutions.
Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in antibody discovery and protein engineering to help drive innovation.
Qualifications:
PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Immunology, or a related field with 5+ years industry experience in antibody discovery and protein engineering.
Proven hands-on experience with antibody generation platforms (e.g., display technologies, hybridoma, B-cell cloning).
Strong molecular biology skills, including cloning, vector design, and construct optimization.
Expertise in protein expression (mammalian and/or bacterial), purification, and biophysical analysis.
Familiarity with structure analysis and computational tools for antibody modeling, sequence analysis, and developability prediction is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Expected Salary Range: $142,000 - $158,000
