Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting/Finance Intern to support our finance and operations team. This is a great opportunity for a college student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, early-stage biotech company. The intern will work closely with the Finance team on key operational and financial processes including invoice entry, purchase order (PO) creation, reconciliations, and general administrative support. This is a remote position, and candidates should be comfortable working independently and managing their time effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and process purchase orders (POs) and track approvals
Assist with monthly reconciliations and expense tracking
Support invoice entry and review in our accounting system
Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Coordinate with vendors for invoice-related questions
Perform administrative tasks to support Finance and Operations
Assist with ad hoc finance projects as needed
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Junior or Senior standing preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Bill.com is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Interest in learning about biotech industry finance and operations
Additional Information:
This is a remote, part-time internship (up to 20 hours per week)
Compensation is $20 per hour
