Position

ImmunEdge has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist to join our team. Strong candidates will be diligent, collaborative, and passionate about drug discovery and working at the bench. Expertise in cellular immunology, tumor biology, and myeloid biology are highly desirable, as well as tissue culture experience, isolating and working with primary human immune cells, and a strong understanding of multi-color flow cytometry. Candidates should also have experience contributing data to and writing IND applications or other regulatory submissions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Independently perform and troubleshoot complex cellular assays using either primary cells and/or cell lines to characterize novel therapeutic agents 

  • Document and organize experimental data, methods, and reports generated through independent analysis in a clear and accessible manner to enable effective communication with teammates and cross-functional collaborators  

  • Contribute to IND-enabling studies and regulatory submissions through high-quality data generation, thorough documentation, and report writing 

  • Support lab operations through leadership and initiatives in areas such as instrument maintenance and calibration, lab safety and EHS compliance, reagent and consumables inventory management, vendor relations, and the implementation of efficient lab workflows and organizational systems 

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant lab environment, including support for EHS protocols, safety documentation, and training best practices 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Immunology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, or related field (advanced degree preferred) 

  • 8+ years of industry experience in cellular immunology, tumor biology, or related areas, with a track record of hands-on and independent experimental success 

  • Technical expertise in cell culture, with a particular focus on the isolation and in vitro manipulation of primary human immune cells from whole blood or tissues. 3D cell culture is a plus 

  • Proficiency in molecular and cellular techniques, including multi-color flow cytometry (including spectral cytometry), cytokine bead arrays, ELISA-based immunoassays, and MSD 

  • Familiarity with common data analysis and lab software, such as FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, and Microsoft Office. Experience with LIMS/CMMS, data visualization tools, or coding for analysis is a plus 

  • Experience contributing to regulatory submissions, including data generation, documentation, and report writing in support of IND applications or other regulatory filings 

This is a position that requires working in a laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards. Protective clothing, gloves and safety glasses are required while working in the laboratory. This position requires the ability to lift containers or instruments up to 25 pounds and working standing at a fume hood or lab bench for extended periods. 

Expected Salary Range: $108,000 - $120,000
